Background of Organization

Ehsaas Balgruh (Children's Home) was established in 2008 by the late Rutvi Chande in Valase, Satara. The journey began with just 5 children, with the aim of making orphaned and underprivileged special children self-reliant and ensuring their place in society. Facing numerous challenges, Rutvi Madam expanded the children's home to provide benefits to as many children as possible. Today, a total of 50 special boys and girls are receiving quality education and training through the home.

About the Organization

The institution operates on a non-grant basis with official recognition. All admissions to the children's home are made through the Child Court, and despite receiving no government funding, the institution selflessly takes full responsibility for the care, education, and training of the children free of charge. The number of children is increasing day by day.

When children are admitted to the home, they often lack basic self-reliance skills, such as using the toilet, brushing their teeth, eating, speaking, bathing, and dressing. The dedicated staff at the home patiently teaches these children all necessary self-reliance skills.

The institution provides pre-primary, primary, secondary, and pre-vocational classes, setting annual curricula based on the intellectual capacity of each child. The children are also taught subjects like self-reliance skills, home skills, and pre-vocational skills.
